I am now an advisor for the brass band club at a junior high school in Uji City.
The song playing in the background right now is “Treasure Island,” which is being played by my students.
It’s still immature, but it’s a junior high school performance, so please forgive me.
This past year was a frustrating one for me because I was not able to do many activities due to the coronavirus, and the competition was canceled, so it was a year of regret.
But more than that, it was a year where I felt again the joy of being able to play music like this, and the happiness of being able to unite through music.

I had to give up participating in the practice and the performance because it didn’t fit into my schedule.
But there were a few members of the 113th term who participated, and I saw a video of them having a great time, and I was jealous.

I’m Y.Okamoto, also known as “Connie”, the drum major for the 112th term in 2015.
Congratulations on your live performance.
It has been five years since I graduated, but I still feel again that the connection between the seniors and juniors at Tachibana was really strong.
The reason why I wanted to enter Tachibana High School was because I saw the performance of the seniors, including the leader, ○○-seniors(I couldn’t hear it. I think it probably refers to Mita-san.), and the TV program “Laugh and Congratulate” that covered the performance.
I watched your videos on YouTube, and I would be very happy if the marching contest, the regular concert, and the “3,000 people’s brass band” that I participated in made the younger students want to enter Tachibana High School, just as I did.
I think the music we make in such a strong connection between seniors and juniors is completely different depending on the grade. I felt that the same “SingSingSing” was different depending on the grade level, but I thought it was wonderful that Tachibana’s music transcended the boundaries of grades and became one.
It’s been two years since I became a member of society, and I think that the experience of fulfilling my dreams with my KT band members has helped me.

When I heard about the performance from Teacher Yokoyama, I felt very envious.
I have been out of the music business since I graduated from high school, but I still have a strong desire to play an instrument, and I would love to join in once I get settled in raising my children.
Today I’m playing nostalgic songs and popular songs, so I think it will be a very fun live performance.

I remember how surprised I was to see Ron. I didn’t even recognize her. Probably because she no longer wore her hair in that distinctive hairstyle she wore when she was in KT. She had bangs. And wore makeup. I only realized who she was because there on the screen was a small photo of her in her DM uniform. I think her hair was still black, she hadn’t colored it. I certainly wish I could see these videos of the former DMs again. Hell, I wish I could see this first O-VILS performance again.
