The August print issue of Newsweek (Japan Edition) out on August 8, 2023 contains an article describing “100 Japanese most respected overseas” chosen by the magazine. As per the promotional information (see the picture above) one of them would be Kyoto Tachibana S.H.S. Brass Band!

Congratulations Kyoto Tachibana SHS Marching Brass Band World’s Best Entertainment and I knew they were going to be in the covers of magazines and on tv 📺 World wide because of their famed dance and music movement and their beautiful smile

In the US the only way bands from high schools, colleges and universities get recognition is to show skin. KT gets attention because of their talent, music and cheerful smiles…see you in Pasadena.
