Hakata Dontaku Parade in 2022 – Click picture to watch video
The band will pack their bags again and travel 400 miles west to Fukuoka, most populous city of Japan’s western- and southernmost main island Kyūshū. Since 2019 the band has visited the island many times and formed warm relationship with Seika Girls’ High School band, another super-strong performer in AJBA contests. Last time the band was there was in October 2022 attending “Marching Carnival in Beppu 2022”, and they will go there again July this year for the 47th National High School Cultural Festival in Kagoshima.
Hakata Dontaku Festival
In this trip the band has two events they are performing in:
– May 4: 62nd Hakata Dontaku Festival in Fukuoka where they participate in a parade and a field show. Click here for instructions to view the live stream of the parade, and here for the live chatroom for the patrons of this blog.
– May 5: A joint concert with Seika Girls (parade and field show) at pictoresque Umi no Nakamichi Seaside Park, Fukuoka.
