    • Thanks for the info! I wonder if the acoustics have changed? In any case, the bands have been given the opportunity to rehearse in the renovated hall; KT will be there on the 18th.

      • Alan-san,

There is no information about acoustics. Lightings, arena floor sheet, stairs, elevators, meeting rooms, lavatories, power generators and air conditioners have been renewed. The lighting equipment has been updated to LEDs, so I think KT’s orange uniform looks more vivid.

I’m sorry, maybe I’m misunderstanding. The color of the floor may still be green.
Ōsaka-jō Hall has announced that the color of the アリーナ床”シート”(arīna yuka shīto = arena floor sheet) has been changed to dark blue. A floor sheet may be something that covers the floor. Let’s check the color of the floor on the day.

    • So we will never see the characteristic green floor again? Maybe it would be a good option to go back to wearing white socks and shoes only in this event for more contrast (black with dark blue will not allow the maneuvers to be seen well

      • Ray-san,

        You know that!
As the article states, we sometimes use blue and green interchangeably.

In addition, the most popular Chinese characters (kanji) for blue (ao) is 青, but there are other kanji such as 蒼 and 碧. All kanjis are pronounced “ao,” and each kanji has a different color.

        青: clear blue

        蒼: a little dark blue-green

        碧: strong blue-green

The last one 碧 can also be pronounced “midori,” or green.

Someone say that for Japanese people, “ao” has a broad concept that includes green.

In this case of Ōsaka-jō Hall, the organizers said they changed the floor sheet color to “dark blue / navy blue (濃紺, nō-kon),” so there is no confusion with green (緑,midori).

        濃紺: dark purple-blue

        • Thanks a lot Keo-san. When I was in Japan I was also wondering about the blue traffic lights. I thought I was getting color blind or maybe the cold weather may have affected the color filters of the lights (yes I was really thinking that haha). Until I read this article and it made sense.
