Tachibana goes to Tokyo!

The band travels 300 miles by bus or Shinkansen to Tokyo first time since October 2018 when they played at Musical Instruments Fair 2018 Japan in and around Tokyo Big Sight. This time the band participates at the request of City of Kyoto in the 46th National High School Cultural Festival (=Tokyo Sōbun 2022) in two events:

Parade route


On July 31, 2022 at 5pm JST the band parades 800m along picturesque boulevard Marunouchi Naka-dōri which is located between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station at the illustrous Chiyoda City, Tokyo (the video above by Momoyama Orange walks through the intended parade route, see also pictures above and below).

Further on August 2, 2022 between 11:20 and 11:30 JST the band attends the Marching/Baton Twirling -section of the Festival at one of the 2020 Summer Olympics venues Musashino Forest Sport Plaza, Chōfu, Tokyo.

On August 1, 2022 the band practices for the All-Japan Band Competition. This trip replaces one of their regular summer training camps.
