      • I didn’t. My comment way down there was in response to what Anon said about Mita-san being the drummer on a video that started an “impromptu” performance of “Sing, Sing. Sing” (which was correct), but misidentified her as the one who is now married and has a child (Mita-san is married but does not have children yet).

I assumed that Anon was referring to Class 108 DM Horacha who recently appeared in a TV show and who we recently found out is happily married and has a child. I have no idea if 112 DM Cony is married and have children.

  1. Ok, so here is final version of the participants unless more info gets unearthed later on. I am using only public info, I want to respect their privacy. The names provided are a mix of real names and nicknames. What I find remarkable is that there is an age difference of 9 years between the oldest and the youngest, so some of them did not know each other while in the band (they may have met as part of the Rose Parade contingent).

I also find it lovely that Mita-san has responded to all the comments on YouTube. I hope she keeps that energy and creativity going forward, for our benefit! 🙂

Rio Tanio (red dress) – 109th CG
Aya Yamaguchi (black striped dress) Maiya – 109th DM
Yurumowa (beige dress) Yurumowa – 116th sousaphone
Rui (grey dress) Myaki – 114th percussion
Misato Kinoshita (yellow dress with flowers) – 107th trumpet
Mitsuki (pink) Chirokko – 115th CG
Ayaka (black and white) Cherika – 115th CG
Mafuran (blue turquiose dress) Mafuran – 116th CG & percussion
Suzuka (blue with white dots) Parinpu – 116th flute
Ayane (singer in blue) “Kona-chan” – not a KT alumna
Natsuo Mikami (singer in red) – 109th percussion
Yuina Mita (lead, yellow dress) Yuzuho – 107th percussion

    • Thank you for putting in the effort to make this list, griz95. It has certainly made things much clearer for me, especially regarding the 107th and 109th OGs.

Unfortunately I didn’t notice until now that you were working on clarifying the names – not that I can provide any additional information – but I do have a minor correction to one of the nicknames: the 114th percussion. I wrote down the nickname from memory and I’m afraid I got it slightly wrong: The Japanese spelling is ミャけ, which translates as Myake. In other words it ends with an ‘e’ not with an ‘i’.

In a similar vein, Yuina recently retweeted a tweet from Yurumowa detaling the meaning of her nickname. I couldn’t follow all of the explanation which apart from references to her favorite Pokomon and favorite candy also contained some references to Japanese pop-culture which were beyond me. But it was clear that her nickname, when spelled properly, is supposed to end with an ‘!’: Yurumowa!

    • Thank you for the effort. As long as I know, Ms. Suzuka is 116th DM and flute(piccolo) and Ms. Ayaka is 115th CG and oboe. For Ms. Mitsuki, I remember she plays clarinet but need to be confirmed.

    • Hi griz95, Firstly, Thanks so much for all your effort putting together the roster of people in Yuina’s “Love and Dancing” video, that’s really cool of you to do. I know so many here wonder how things are for alumnae in their current life. Even though this is jsut a video…. still it’s cool to put face names and class numbers together for all whom we’ve admired in the past.

Also, in your effort, if I may just suggest a tiny update/correction for your list (partially also mentioned in someone else’s comment )….
Where you have posted: “Suzuka (blue with white dots) Parinpu – 116th flute”
I believe Suzuka’s nickname is ‘Palinpu’ (not Parinpu). Also, she was in the flute section as you posted, but more importantly she was also the 116th DM (2019). (Not a big deal at all, but as you have made such great effort, I thought it would be nice recognition and respect to update her info on your list).

Thanks again for your hard work. So much appreciated!!!!!!!!

  2. Very exciting stuff. Love the fact that KT alumns from different classes can get together like this and delight us.

Ok, so I really wanted to see if we can all place them and give them proper credit. I took the names displayed on the short ‘interview’ video and then added info from Lars from the fan corner section (very tedious). Some of the names given in the videos are just their nicknames, some are full names others are first names. I used Google translate, so wherever the names have kanji it could be completely off. Please correct if there are any mistakes and please complete the info if possible.

I am really curious who the young lady with the adorable dimples is, Mikami.

Rio Tanio [translation from Japanese] (red dress) Nick, class, section?
Aya Yamaguchi (black striped dress) Maiya – 109th DM
Yurumowa (beige dress) Yurumowa – 116th sousaphone
Rui (grey dress) Myaki – 114th percussion
Kinoshita Mie (yellow dress with flowers) Nick, class, section?
Mitsuki (pink) Chirokko – 115th CG
Ayaka (black and white) Cherika – 115th CG
Mafuran (blue turquiose dress) Mafuran – 116th CG & percussion
Suzuka (blue with white dots) Parinpu – 116th flute
    Ayana (singer in blue) Nick,class,section?
    Mikami (singer in red) Nick,class,section?
Yuina Mita (yellow dress) Yuzuho – 107th percussion

    Thanks!

    • @griz95: The lady with the dimples – interesting question, here are three guesses:

Not really sure but I think she is playing 2nd glockenspiel/xylophon in Izumo Dome 2010 here: https://youtu.be/LHFgscJXMW4?t=290

I think she is playing cymbals in Yuina Mita’s birthday video here: https://youtu.be/Wgmtu5WyeTs?t=117

In 2017 Disneyland I think she is coming up from behind in order to play snares besides p-chan here: https://youtu.be/crqHpCTTakE?t=323

So in conclusion the section may be percussion?

      • Thank you for the links. We are getting a bit further. I also missed that all the names are provided by Mita-san in her video description. I’ll have a cleaned up version of the list ready soon.

    • I would like to make a few corrections and additions.
      Tanio-san: 109th CG
      Kinoshita-san: 107th
      Mikami-san: 109th percussion
Kinoshita-san’s first name is Misato. (https://nagaokakyobq.wixsite.com/takenoko/trphr)
I don’t know her section, but I think she is the one in the front row on the right side at 3:20 of the Izumo Dome video posted by fimo2. I don’t have the face recognition ability that Lars has, so I can’t be sure.
As for Ayane-san, Mita-san said that she is not from Tachibana High School. By the way, the other members call her “Kona-chan”. (at 1:22 of the interview video)

      • Thank you so much for helping on this little effort of mine! I was hoping someone who speaks Japanese could comment, perfect! My knowledge is still very rudimentary, though I am trying 🙂 どうもありがとうございます!

Hopefully Lars sees this and can add in some more info. Then I can republish a cleaned up version of the list.

One more thing. The group that participated in this video is a subset of the members we see in the practice video that Mita-san published back on December 2 (and Ayane, the one non-KT alumna). Groo Me seems be a rather loose group of members. Thus there is always a chance we get to see more of them in the future. 😉

  4. Now this is the little girl way back who started a jamming session on the drums right? And is now married and has a infant ( can remember if boy or girl).
