As the All-Japan Band Competition and All-Japan Marching Contest were cancelled in 2020 the sports broadcaster sky-A announced on October 23, 2020 that they will arrange an online video tournament for high school marching bands. Besides Tachibana (video at the very top of this post) the participants included Izumo Business High School (Izusho) (video above, see more or the band here) as well as Matsue Commercial High School Wind Orchestra (video below, and more information of them here).
Also St. Ursula Eichi Wind Orchestra (video below, participant of the 2021 Rose Parade, however see more of the situation here). HiI know Yutaka Kaneshiro likes Classical, as I do, and I think he has a great appreciation for Jazz, also. I like the new arrangement for “sing, sing, sing” as noticed in this video. I think it was time for a change, but who am I to say whats what. The band does justice to all their band arrangements. My 5 yen worth

DET,
I fully agree with you on the possible preferences of Kaneshiro-sensei. We can see by the result of its work in both styles.
Besides, it seems to me quite versatile, because he walks well even in the most pop style. In all cases, he is very committed to details.
