Donations to Kyoto Animation

On July 18, 2019 Kyoto Animation Studio 1 building was set on fire resulting to the deaths of 35 studio employees (see more details here). One of the works of Kyoto Animation is the anime series “Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium)” where Tachibana is the inspiration behind one of bands appearing in series (see more of that here). Among many people and companies also the students of Tachibana have expressed their condolences (see here).

Kyoto Animation has today (July 23, 2019) opened bank account for those who wish to support them at this tragic moment (see details here, in Japanese). Also Sentai Filmworks (Houston, Texas) has opened a fundraiser at GoFundMe, click here for details (now closed).

  1. Here’s a new tribute video to Kyoto Animation (KyoAni) with narration in English. The narration helps to understand the background of KyoAni and what makes their production unique. You may need some tissues nearby when you watch it.

  2. We lived the same here, in France few years ago. It was really hard. But now we are stronger. I think to all family and pray for them. 🙇😔
