  1. For Class 115 fans、
As I wrote on the 2019 event page, the class115th alumni was also cheering.
The game is “Spring High School Volleyball Tournament / Kyoto qualifying final”、 November 16, 2019. On this day,
the active students (band) appeared in another concert.

However, the video can only find very short Instagram, YouTube video is not found.

  2. Will it be permitted to record and post the recording (YouTube) of the retirement ceremonies in January for the 115th. class as has been done in the past – 2017.

I know it is a very emotional time for all but I found it showed the tremendous respect for not only the retiring Seniors but for the instructors, staff as well as the “Tachibana Tension” spirit of the next year’s band.

Thanks for all the amazing performances. I have spent countless hours watching all the videos I can find about Tachibana SHS Band..

    • The retirement ceremony I am talking about is actually the December Lobby Concert where the retiring Seniors receive gifts and group pictures are taken, while next year’s band plays off to one side.. Here is a video link of one of the past –

I hope this recognition can be recorded and posted for everyone to see!

  3. Almost like losing a member of your family! Just put Tachibana Marching Band on your resume! It will make more of a difference than you think. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

    • I agree, If any of the former members of Tachibana SHS band, should present himself or herself to a job interview with me ,I would hire them immediatelly . Someone with such level of comitment and dedication to performance and excellence should not need other recommendation to me.

  4. When was this video made? I see Dr. Tanaka standing at the edge of the band, I thought he was retired from Tachibana SHS. Also, do Tachibana students live on campus or do they have to commute to classes everyday?

Perhaps you have found the answer to your question regarding “nick-names” if not…..then perhaps this will suffice.

The last class we had nick-names for was Class 114, they graduated in 2017. We no longer have a list, and if we did, we as a group on the blog (following the request of the school, and the guardians, (parents)) No longer use current student nick-names…..which is a little redundant since we don’t have them any longer.
The reason for this is that there was a guardian known by a few here on the blog and he supplied us the nick-names, but his daughter graduated, and we lost our “spy”….simple as that. No big mystery…..just the way it is.
