Information of this post is based on the interview conducted at Kyoto Tachibana High School on April 24, 2018 by Rei’ichirō Fukuno (福野礼一郎).

Kaneshiro-sensei leading the band at the enrollment ceremony April 7, 2018
After professor Hiramatsu (1935-2021, Director 1961-1995) and Tanaka-sensei (Director 1995-2018) Yutaka Kaneshiro (兼城 裕) started his work as the third Band Director and Wind Club Advisor of Tachibana Brass Band in April 2018. We all fans saw him first time in the videos of the traditional Blumen Hügel -parade on April 15, 2018 (see the videos of the event in this playlist) where he was marching in the usual spot of the Band Director. He has worked ten years in public high schools, and last six as the Advisor and Band Director of the brass band of Kyoto Prefectural Hokuryō Senior High School (website, Wikipedia, band introduction is here) to high acclaim. He will focus on band performance in symphonic concerts (sit-down concerts) therefore improving band chances in the All-Japan Band Competition whereas Yokoyama-coach will take more of the role of the band marching coach.
Kaneshiro-sensei is below conducting Kyoto Prefectural Hokuryō Senior High School Brass Band at High School Band Festival on May 29, 2016 (video by I LOVE BRASS):
On behalf of all Tachibana-fans I would like to welcome Kaneshiro-sensei to his new job and may he help the band achieve even higher levels of success!

Dear all,

So this is why I´m writing to you by now. Guess you are aware of the Japan-days in germany, right?
The next (and biggest one) is at May 25. 2025 at the city of Düsseldorf, were several thousand japanese people live.
We, the citicens, are in close friedship to our japanese neighbors and celebrate this very day with shows and a wonderful firework.
If by now, the band would like zo participate, guess its a special highlight which noone will forget ever.
In addition I include a link with some information in japanese language too, so you can see more and please applicate for this.
