I LOVE BRASS). Toho High School and Anjo Gakuen High School had not a lot of chance against top-form Tachibana who won by thunderous applause (Tachibana performance starts at 19:34).

26th All-Japan Marching Contest:

Stage show at 26th Kyoto Prefecture Marching Contest, free program at Taiyogaoka Gymnasium on September 8, 2013 (video by HAKUAKI901). Show starts at 1:16. Favorite part is the snake walk at 2:04. This year the band proceeded further to Kansai Marching Contest but they did not unfortunately reach National Finals. Full results of those are here (in Japanese).

And here the band is at the 41st Kansai Marching Contest on September 23, 2013 at Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium. Unfortunately the result was “dud” Gold again as in previous year. Reference (in Japanese) is here. Video by Cobra 427SC:

Field show at 53rd “Brass Band of 3000” Event at Kyocera Dome, Osaka on June 22, 2013 (video by pamyu hirevo). They start with popular 80s song “Sailor Fuku o Nugasanai de” by Onyanko Club. Other highlights were the sax-solo of “I’ll Be There” by The Jackson 5 at 3:57, and the top hat props (at 5:11). TV-program covering the same is here.

Cheering at 91st All Japan High School Soccer Tournament Finals:

And also on January 19, 2013 the soccer team of the school reached the finals of the 91st All Japan High School Soccer Tournament against Hosho High School at the National Stadium (video by raisummer). Band can here be seen cheering their team but unfortunately Tachibana lost after penalty shoot-out.

NHK-E School Live Show held nationwide Band Battle where Kyoto Tachibana won the title of Grand National Champion on broadcast of February 17, 2013 (recorded January 19, 2013) (video by GBA1998). “Sing, Sing, Sing” and Kyoto Tachibana is pretty hard combination to beat… Reference at school site (in Japanese) is here.
